Is your alienware laptop dead? Chances are, you could be suffering from the same problem I was. Since my laptop is no longer under warranty, I decided to take the chance and open it up myself and look around under the hood. The first thing I noticed was that the solder around some of the mounting posts was cracked. Could it really be that easy? I got out my soldering pencil and re-soldered
all of the mounting posts, just to be sure.
After carefully puting all the gabillion screws back in, I fired it up and tah dah, I 'm back in business. Fantastic!
Warning: If you are not comfortable with totally wrecking your stuff beyond all repair, do not attempt to repair your laptop yourself, send it to a professional.
